Thank you for visiting The Ranch Project! We are currently hard at work developing programs and projects that will make a difference in people's lives. America's internal problems and struggles can be solved if communities will band together to overcome them. The Ranch Project is one attempt to inspire such action. Above the Fruited Plain takes rescued horses and places them upon federal lands where they will engage in an assisted free range [lifestyle.] Some shelters and airlifted graining will supplement freerange grazing.
The rescued horses placed on these federal reserves will be the object of an annual roundup. Interested horsemen from around the country will be invited to particiapte in a week/ long weekend jamboree event which will center around rounding up the horses and moving them into on site facilities so that their health can be assured and their veterinary needs assessed and addressed.
At the end of the roundup the participants may choose to keep one of the rehabilited horses provided they can demonstrate the ability to care for it adequately through to the end of its natural life.
