America's internal problems and struggles can be solved if communities will band together to overcome them. The Ranch Project is one attempt to inspire such action. Task City
A Place of our Own
In Task City, individuals learn about how a community functions by playing an active part in a functioning town.
Civic responsibility and an understanding of basic civic function are stressed in this program which is 10% classroom based and 90% activity based apprenticeship and OTJ training.
Theory is taught in the classroom and then individuals move into roles within Task City that allow them to learn about how a community functions by taking an active part in it's operation.
