Our nation is in trouble.
Our internal problems are growing and reaching epidemic proportions: joblessness, homelessness, rampant crime and a burgeoning prison population, drugs and violence in our neighborhoods and schools, teenage pregnancy, moral decay, child abuse, spousal abuse, and the list goes on and on.
We are the mightiest nation in the history of the world. It is only fitting that we should also be host to the world's most overwhelming problems. A brief look at history will show that as our nation has grown it has never been intimidated by the magnitude of any undertaking that it knew to be right and good.
We are the nation that as an infant looked full down the loaded cannons of the Invincible British Empire and said we will fight and die before we further submit to your unjust will.
We are the nation that as a toddler sent brave pioneers forth to carve history’s mightiest civilization out of a savage and unforgiving wilderness.
We are the nation that as an adolescent eliminated the looming threat of nuclear holocaust at the hands of the Soviet Union without firing a single shot.
Are we now to be the nation that in adulthood will stand idly by as our society’s illnesses grow cancerous and destroy all that we have built?
We believe that our nation possesses the resources to overcome these problems.
We believe that the rampant decline of our society’s morality sickens most good and honest people.
We believe that good and honest people can make a difference.
We believe that good and honest people want to make a difference
We believe that to a large degree they feel powerless to do so.
We believe that if provided with a framework into which an individual’s talents and passions and resources can be effectively inserted, we can overcome every major problem our nation faces.
The Ranch Project will provide that framework.
